Connor & Elly’s Relaxed Bank Holiday Wedding at The Green
Connor and Elly travelled from Surrey to celebrate their wedding with us here at The Green Cornwall — and what a beautiful Bank Holiday Sunday and Monday it was. Taking full advantage of the long weekend, they chose a relaxed two-night stay, making time not just for the big day itself but also for meaningful moments with their closest friends and family.
The celebrations began on Sunday, with guests arriving to a laid-back street food welcome meal, the perfect way to settle in and set the tone for a fun and informal celebration.
On the wedding day, Elly got ready in Preen, our light-filled salon space, surrounded by her bridal party. The ceremony took place in the Wedding Barn, led by a celebrant and full of personal touches. The space was warm, rustic, and full of emotion as the couple exchanged their vows.
Afterwards, guests enjoyed canapés and Prosecco in the sunshine while Connor and Elly slipped away for some stunning couple photos, including magical shots among the bluebells in the woods – a perfect May moment.
The reception was held in the Red Brick Barn, with round tables set for the wedding breakfast. The couple opted for our Classic Menu, and the room was filled with chatter, laughter, and celebration.
The evening party followed, with plenty of dancing and joy – a real celebration of love, friendship, and the beginning of a new chapter.
The following morning, everyone gathered once more for breakfast before heading home, bringing a relaxed and happy close to a wonderful wedding weekend.
