Kejal and Matt’s Fusion Wedding

Delighted to be sharing with you the first Indian British Fusion wedding we have held at The Green.  In August 2018 Kejal and Matt celebrated with 100 of their nearest and dearest and it’s safe to say they threw out the wedding rule book and had so much fun creating something that was special for them both.

Kejal and Matt’s vision was  ‘fusion’ – modern, rustic, Indian, countryside vibes that would play on both of their cultures, specifically, with the colours of Indian culture, but with Intimacy too.

It was all about the detail for Kejal. Bringing the fusion vision to life was tricky in places, but they persevered, and everything came together in the end. The Mandap in the Rustic barn where the Indian ceremony was held was a standout feature, beautifully adorned with flowers, which were colourful to represent Indian culture.  In the Red Brick barn they choose simple floral table centrepieces and large balloons on each table all hung at various heights.

The wedding was full of personal touches as Kejal has a modern calligraphy business (https://www.instagram.com/calligraphy.by.kiki/) she created the place cards and seating plan, which was really special to see on the day.  The food was a key part of the fusion wedding vision for Kejal and Matt. Our team created a special fusion-sharing menu for them, which was a big hit with all the guests.

The rain came down but nothing dampened the colourful and fun atmosphere all day. Post dinner the dance floor and party was in full flow.

Here is what Kejal and Matt had to say about their day;

“We had our Indian-fusion wedding at The Green a few weeks back and I can’t recommend the staff and venue enough. They were simply brilliant and very accommodating given the many different/extra asks we had, as we fitted in a whole extra ceremony during the day, and we were so happy with how everything turned out – they are planning extraordinaires! Thank you to the whole team and for not letting the bad weather dampen our spirits at all.”

A big thank you to Kejal & Matt for sharing their beautiful photos and to Matt & Alexa Penberthy  for capturing them – http://www.mattpenberthy.com

This is an image of the bride and groom standing in the doorway of the Really Rustic barn. They are standing side by side with the groom on the left. The bride is leaning slightly inwards towards the groom. The bride has a bouquet of greenery in her right hand. The couple each have their outside arms outstretched and each is holding a very large white balloon tethered by a "string" of greenery. The groom is wearing a navy suit, gray waistcoat, white shirt and blue tie. The bride wears a full-length, sleeveless, white dress with lace details and a beaded bodice.
