Kayleigh & James’ Late October Wedding at The Green Corn

Kayleigh and James celebrated their beautiful midweek wedding at The Green Cornwall during late October half-term. They planned a two-day celebration to make it easier for their teacher guests to join in the fun.

A Warm Welcome & Pre-Wedding Celebrations

The festivities kicked off the day before the wedding, as Kayleigh and James welcomed their 42 resident guests to The Green, taking full advantage of the exclusive-use accommodation, including the optional additional rooms. Everyone gathered for a relaxed meal the night before, setting the tone for a joyful and intimate celebration.

A Beautiful Ceremony in the Wedding Barn

On the big day, the couple exchanged vows in our charming Wedding Barn, surrounded by 70+ of their closest friends and family. Following the ceremony, they made the most of The Green’s picturesque surroundings, capturing stunning photos in both the grounds and the striking Red Brick Barn. Guests enjoyed a selection of drinks both before and after the ceremony, along with a delicious spread of canapés, including a special request from the couple—hogs pudding, that was a huge hit!

A Thoughtfully Catered Wedding Feast

For their wedding meal, Kayleigh and James opted for our classic menu, with the venue ensuring all dietary requirements and allergies were carefully catered for. Later in the evening, guests were treated to a true taste of Cornwall with traditional Cornish pasties—a perfect late-night bite to keep the celebrations going.

Live Music & A Perfect Farewell

The evening reception was filled with energy, as a live band got everyone up on their feet, dancing the night away. After an unforgettable evening of love and laughter, guests came together for a final breakfast the next morning before bidding farewell to The Green Cornwall.

A Seamless Remote Planning Experience

Kayleigh and James are from Lincolnshire, much of their wedding planning had to be done remotely. Luckily, The Green Cornwall has plenty of experience in coordinating weddings from afar, making the entire process smooth and stress-free for the couple.

It was a joy to host this wedding, and we wish them a lifetime of happiness together. If you’re dreaming of your own exclusive-use wedding in the heart of Cornwall, get in touch—we’d love to help make your vision a reality!
