Lost property

If you are reading this, you are probably missing an item of your personal property following a recent wedding!  Before contacting us do please check that the item  has not been misplaced somewhere in your luggage or that a member of your family or a friend has not “kindly” taken it home on your behalf.  We often find that guests contact us and subsequently find the missing item at home so please take a moment to have another look.

Items Left Behind

  1. Any items left behind after an event will be taken to the office, logged and retained safely.
  2. If the property appears to be a high value item the Event Manager will place in the safe.
  3. Reasonable effort will be made to notify the relevant guest about any high value items found after a Wedding.

Items Reported Lost

  1. If you call looking for an item that may have been left behind the log will be checked to see if it has been handed in and matches any details.
  2. If so, you will be asked if you are able to collect the item or if it needs to be posted.

Returning your items

  1. If you wish to collect your item in person, please agree a convenient time with the Event Manager.  We host weddings throughout the week and members of the public are unable to attend The Green if there is another exclusive hire wedding taking place.
  2. If you wish to have your item posted back we will need to take card details for the payment of £15.  This is a set fee as it includes both postage and the time involved in physically going to a Post Office (there are none locally).  If the item is high value, it will need to be sent via secure post and the cost is likely to be higher. The cost must be settled before we can return the item.
  3. We will also require your name, address and contact telephone number.

General Information

  1. Perishable items, underwear, and miscellaneous toiletries will be discarded.
  2. The Green Cornwall is not responsible for any items left behind at the venue.
  3. The Green Cornwall is not responsible for any items lost or misplaced during postage/shipment.
  4. Items are held for thirty (30) days after the date of the Wedding while The Green Cornwall make every attempt to contact the guest. If  we are unable to contact the guest during the thirty (30) day period, the unclaimed item(s) are thrown away, given to local organizations or disposed of.
