Summer and Liam’s Mid-March Wedding at The Green

Summer and Liam, a lovely couple from Plymouth, celebrated their wedding at The Green in mid-March 2024. Their wedding was a beautiful blend of simplicity and elegance, and lots of laughs.

Pre-Wedding Festivities

The couple and their guests arrived at The Green on the Monday before the wedding. That evening, everyone gathered in the Green Room Bar for a casual dinner featuring pizza and pasta, setting a relaxed tone for the days ahead.

Wedding Day Preparations

The wedding day started early, with the bridal party getting ready in Preen at The Green, a salon located in our Shepherd’s Hut. Final preparations for the bride took place in the Farmhouse, and isn’t she beautiful!

Ceremony

The ceremony was held in the Wedding Barn, decorated simply with fairy lights on the beams and a wedding arch provided by The Pretty Prop Company. This simpla decor enhanced the natural beauty of the venue, creating an intimate atmosphere for the couple’s vows.

Canapés and Drinks

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed mini scones served with jam first, a nod to Cornish tradition, along with Pimms. During this time, Summer and Liam took a moment alone to savor the bliss of their newlywed status.

Wedding Meal

The wedding meal was hosted in the Red Brick Barn, where a classic menu was served. The decor continued the theme of simplicity with round tables adorned with elegant candelabras. The long top table was placed by the window, offering a picturesque backdrop for the couple and their closest family and friends. Roger Miners provided beautiful piano music, adding to the ambiance.

Evening Reception

In the evening, guests enjoyed a selection of pasties and sausage rolls, a fitting choice for a wedding with a relaxed, yet traditional feel. The celebration continued late into the night, filled with joy and laughter.

Accommodation

The Green provided accommodation for 42 guests, ensuring that family and friends could stay close and enjoy the entire wedding experience together, on an exclusive hire basis.
